The Measureless Love of God

The Measureless Love of God

“Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”~John 14:27

Jesus Christ taught that God is our loving Heavenly Father.
He said that God loved the world so much that He gave His one and only Son, so that all who would believe in His death on the cross for their sins and subsequent resurrection, would never die, but could enjoy fellowship with God now on earth and also forever in eternal paradise. (See John 3:16)

Jesus taught that those who believe in Him as their Savior would be forgiven all their sins, reborn from above and adopted into God’s family as His own precious children.
He said that His children could ask His Heavenly Father for anything in His name and it would be done for them!

“Jesus said,”If you live in Me and what I say lives in you, then ask for anything you want, and it will be yours. I will do anything you ask the Father in My name so that the Father will be given glory because of the Son.” ~John 14:13-14
…If you ask Me to do something, I will do it.” ~John 15:7

Jesus said that our Father knows our needs even before we ask Him!
He taught that God is such a God of love that He even cares when a common sparrow falls to the ground and dies.
God measures the dust of the earth, the Bible tells us, and He cherishes each of us so much that He counts the very hairs on our head.

St. Paul wrote, “What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?” ~Romans 8:31-32

Jesus said we must ask God for what we need even though He already knows our needs.
In Luke 18:1, He tells His disciples, “People ought to always pray and to never give up.”

Sometimes God may seem so silent as if He is not listening to our prayers. But He hears them all. The Psalmist envisioned our compassionate Creator
collecting our tears and putting them into a special bottle marked with our name.

Psalm 56:8 “You number my wanderings; Put my tears into Your bottle;
Are they not in Your book?”

God will answer our prayers in His own way and time.
The prophet Habakkuk wrote, “For the vision is yet for an appointed time and it hastens to the end fulfillment; it will not deceive or disappoint.
Though it tarry, wait earnestly for it, because it will surely come; it will not be behindhand on its appointed day.”~ Habakkuk 2:3-4

Our God asks us to walk with Him day by day with eyes of faith, trusting Him and believing His word even though we cannot see or feel Him.
The author of the book of Hebrews wrote, “Faith is what makes real the things we hope for. It is proof of what we cannot see.” Hebrews 11:1

Hebrews 1:6 “Without faith no one can please God. Whoever comes to God must believe that He is real and that He rewards those who sincerely try to find Him.”

“Look at the proud; his soul is not straight or right within him,
but the rigidly just and the uncompromisingly righteous man shall live
by his faith and in his faithfulness.”~Habakkuk 2:3-4

Our God is a merciful, compassionate Father. If He allows us to be thrown
into the fiery furnace of affliction to refine our faith, He will jump into that fire
alongside of us just as He did for the Hebrew captives in Babylon so long ago.
(See Daniel 3:24-25)

When my children were little, God gave me a beautiful poem to comfort and encourage me. I recently made it into a prayer song, now available on my album, “God’s Rainbow Promise.” May this prayer song comfort and encourage you wherever you are on your journey.

Yahweh’s Promise

I love you, My child
And I’ll never forsake you,
You’re one of My own.
I will always be with you;
Your hand will I hold,
For in your heart My word is sown.

Don’t be afraid of the darkening night;
The times, they are evil
And you will have to fight.
But the good and upright and the just will prevail;
With My word as your sword you can never fail.

Walk on in faith and don’t ever look back
To the road you have already trodden.
The way is before you and the past is gone—
Walk on in faith though the way seems long;
Walk on in faith though the way is long.

I love you, My child, and My peace is yours.
I will never forsake you—not one of My own!
Though all around you the storms are severe,
Remember in faith I am always near,
To uphold and support you, no matter where,
In failure, in victory, in doubt, in despair;
In laughter, in weeping, in danger, in fear…
My promise forever: I am always here…

I am always here, I am always here,
My promise forever, I am always here.

Heavenly Father, thank You for loving us so much that You sent Your only Son to suffer and die for our sins so that we might be forgiven and become Your very own children through Christ’s atoning sacrifice. Give us Thy grace to comprehend Your measureless love for us and to never take Your beautiful Gift, the Gift of Your precious Son Jesus Christ for granted. Thank You, Lord. I love You.
In Jesus Name. Amen.

My Prayer For You

20131120-172256.jpg
MY PRAYER FOR YOU

Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, please Bless Your children today with everything they are seeking from You.
Fill them with peace from the rivers of Heaven.

Give them hope and faith to withstand every discouragement, challenging setback, and trial.

May they feel Your loving arms surrounding and supporting them everywhere they go.

May they know that You CHERISH them and will NEVER leave or forsake them.

In Jesus name. Thank You Lord. I love You. Amen. ❤️

Psalm 103:13-17
“The Lord is as kind to his followers as a father is to his children.
He knows all about us. He knows we are made from dust.
He knows our lives are short, that they are like grass.
He knows we are like a little wildflower that grows so quickly, but when the hot wind blows, it dies.
Soon, you cannot even see where the flower was.
But the Lord has always loved His followers, and He will continue to love them forever and ever!”

Five Things You Should Never Worry About

God Cherishes You! His love for you is measureless. St. Peter wrote, “Turn all your anxiety over to God because he cares for you.” (1 Peter 5:7)

I pray you will be filled with the knowledge of God’s amazing love for you. I pray you will sense Christ’s presence and His peace in your life. I pray you will be blessed beyond measure and that He will hear and give you all that you are seeking from Him. In Jesus name. Amen. ♥️

For My Thoughts Are Not Your Thoughts

MY THOUGHTS ARE NOT YOUR THOUGHTS

First of all, let me just say that I’ve done many wonderful things with my IPad since my husband gave it to me last Christmas; created prayer songs, composed music, created innumerable paintings and cards. But the other day my iPad and I got into an argument– of all things!!!!
For the life of me I don’t know how it happened. They make these devices too human for our own good.

For my readers who don’t know, an IPad is a mobile tablet device made by Apple. They have this application on the device known as Siri – Wikipedia defines Siri as “an intelligent personal assistant and knowledge navigator.” Apple claims that the software “adapts to the users individual preferences over time and personalizes results.”
Well, I don’t think this could be true based on what happened with me the other day with Siri.

First of all I had a migraine. I should’ve known better than to talk to Siri with a migraine. But who could have known she would have reacted like she did it?
I said, “Siri, help me find a new keyboard.”

“Okay” says Siri. “Let me see. Here’s what I found.”
She brings up some geeky computer keyboard with a thousand things I don’t want.

“No Siri! I want a professional musical keyboard like Yamaha makes!”
Then Siri informs me, “You make me blush!”

“WHAT DID I SAY TO MAKE THE THING BLUSH?”

The transcript of our conversation records that I have called her a #%€£# and now she has brought up myriad websites on “Why I Hate Siri.”

!!!!!!! NO SIRI! I DID NOT SAY THAT!! I mean – you misunderstood me!!!

What am I doing? I thought to myself. I’m arguing with my iPad! —Defending myself…This thing isn’t a person!
It falsely accused me – it said I called it a word I would never have said! Alas.
How did it think I called it that word when all I said was……

My migraine grew worse.
Later, when I told my daughter about what had happened, she pointed out that her husband “uses Siri all the time and he never has a problem with it.”

!!!!

I felt grossly misunderstood and mentally inferior to my mobile device…until I remembered all those “I Hate Siri” websites that Siri herself had so graciously directed me to.
I took great comfort in knowing that I must not be the only one who had issues with this “intelligent personal assistant and knowledge navigator.”

Anyway Siri is not the only one who has ever misunderstood me.
I have said things to people, and they have either misheard me entirely, or totally misunderstood what I have said. Just like Siri.
It is uncanny how this can happen to people who are not the least bit deaf.
I’ve been guilty of this myself.

Therapists tell us that this happens because each of us have something inside of our hearts called filters. We listen to what others say through filters so that sometimes what we hear gets distorted by things we’ve experienced in the past, our feelings at the moment, how we feel towards the person speaking to us, how well we are listening, how we feel about ourselves, or any number of things.

The only person who listens to us without any distortion, without any
filters is Jesus Christ.
When we pray to Jesus, He understands us completely.
He knows exactly what we mean by every word, every thought. He does not ever condemn or accuse us.
If we ever have condemning or accusing thoughts, the Bible teaches that these thoughts are coming from Satan who the bible calls “the accuser of the brethren.”
“Satan…brings charges against them before our God day and night.”(Revelation 12:10)

St. John goes on in the same verse to tell us how to defeat Satan’s lies and poisonous accusations:
Revelation 12:11 “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony…”
We rebuke Satan’s lies by pleading the blood of Jesus over our thoughts and by speaking the word of God’s Truth.

Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. We become living epistles of God’s Truth by learning the Bible and obeying it. Knowing God’s truth overcomes the enemy’s lies.

God wants us to have positive thoughts about ourselves and others.
Jesus said, “God sent His Son into the world, not to condemn the world, but to save the world.” John 3:17

The Bible teaches us to think on “Whatever is true…noble..right…pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable – if anything is excellent, or praiseworthy – think about such things.” Philippians 4:8

God wants us to be like Himself. God is holy, He wants our thoughts to be holy.
Satanic thoughts are condemning, accusing, and negative. They are worry thoughts, fear thoughts, rebellious and disobedient to God’s revealed will and nature.

God thoughts are positive, encouraging, peaceful, and good. They will never contradict His Word.
Isaiah 55:8 “My thoughts are not your thoughts, and my ways are not your ways,” declares the Lord.</

“God is love.” 1 John 4:8

What does God’s love look like?

God’s Love looks like Jesus, the eternal Son of God, hanging on the cross of Calvary, bloodied, beaten beyond recognition, wearing a piercing crown of thorns, suffering for sins He never committed, bearing my shame, my sicknesses, and all my sorrows. He bore the wrath of God I deserved for my sins so that I could be forgiven, so that He could wash my sins away forever with his spotless blood. He wanted to wrap me in a robe of His own righteousness that I never earned. He did this so that I could enjoy eternal fellowship with Him in Heaven.
It was all a free gift of His incredible love.

God loves you and me.
God does not condemn you or me.
Our God is purest Light and purest Love.

20131019-210146.jpg

Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for loving us. You know every word before we speak it and are acquainted with all our thoughts. Help us to run to You with every need in prayer, knowing that You will always understand us perfectly and fill our hearts with Your Love, Acceptance, and Peace. Thank You, Lord Jesus, for dying for our sins so that we could live with You forever! We love You! In Jesus’ name, Amen.

*For the record, I do NOT hate Siri, especially since I have now discovered that I can EDIT what she thinks I say to her with the keyboard!! Oh PRAISE JESUS! But in my frustration I downloaded Google Search and so far there have been no disagreements or misunderstandings. 🙂
