“At the same time came the disciples unto Jesus, saying, Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven? And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them, And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.” ~ Matthew 18:1-4
Lord, Help Me Learn
Lord, help me learn that to be great One must be least of all, And go into their prayer closet And spend much time with God, Laying down their lives, Seeking Jesus’ face Bearing other’s burdens In God’s secret holy place Seeking to put others first, Content to be obscure, Exalting Jesus in all things With a heart that’s pure. Obscurity, humility Is greatness in the eyes Of the Kingdom of our Lord, The Lord God Jesus Christ. In Jesus’ holy name, amen.
Heavenly Father, thank you that You love each of us without measure and will never reject anyone who comes to Jesus for salvation. Help us to love one another as You love us, to see each other through Your eyes of mercy, compassion and acceptance. Help us to obey the one commandment Thy Son left us, to love one another as He loved us, to lay our lives down for each other, to bear each other’s burdens. Help us to remember His words that others will know we are Christians by our love for each other. In Jesus’ mighty name, amen and amen.
*Thank You, Heavenly Father, that though we cannot see You with us on our path, You see us, and no matter what trials we might be facing right now, Thy word promises that beneath us are Your everlasting arms. We can trust Thy word for Jesus said, “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but My word shall never pass away.” You are ever faithful and will be with us through every storm no matter how fierce. Thy word says that we only need to trust and believe in You. I ask for You to give each of us more faith to believe, more grace to weather our challenges, and more hope as we cling to Your everlasting arms that are bearing each one of us, thank You Lord, in Jesus’ name, amen.

PRAYER
Heavenly Father, help us to walk by faith and not by sight, trusting in You ever more each day. Thy word says that “faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God,” so help us to read & meditate on Thy word in our daily walk with You. Help us to turn our eyes onto Jesus and off the things of this world that so often steals our attention from You. For this world is not our true home, You are, Lord. We love you, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
ENCOURAGING SCRIPTURES ABOUT FAITH IN GOD
“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”~ Hebrews 11:1
“Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.” ~ Hebrews 11:3
“But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” ~Hebrews 11:6
“Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God. But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast unto the end…” ~ Hebrews 3:12-14
“For the vision is yet for an appointed time and it hastens to the end [fulfillment]; it will not deceive or disappoint. Though it tarry, wait [earnestly] for it, because it will surely come; it will not be behindhand on its appointed day.
Look at the proud; his soul is not straight or right within him, but the [rigidly] just and the [uncompromisingly] righteous man shall live by his faith and in his faithfulness.” ~ Habakkuk 2:3-4 (Amplified Bible Version)
“God is not a man, so he does not lie. He is not human, so he does not change his mind. Has he ever spoken and failed to act? Has he ever promised and not carried it through?” ~Numbers 23:19 (New Living Translation)
“Lord, your faithful love reaches to the sky.Your faithfulness is as high as the clouds.Your goodness is higher than the highest mountains. Your fairness is deeper than the deepest ocean. Lord, you protect people and animals. Nothing is more precious than your loving kindness. All people can find protection close to you.”
Prayer
Heavenly Father, Thank You for Thy faithfulness and mercy. Thy word promises that Thy mercies toward us are renewed each morning. Martin Luther wrote in his famous hymn, “And though this world with devils filled should threaten to undo us, we will not fear for God has willed His truth to triumph through us.” Lord, Thy Truth~ Thy very own Holy Spirit within us will never leave us nor forsake us throughout our sojourn on this earth. Lord Jesus, thank You for Thy holy Presence within us, Thy strength and Thy grace to see us through every trial. No matter what furnace we may find ourselves thrown into, You will be in it with us protecting us from the flames. Lord, You have promised in Isaiah that though we walk through the fires the flames shall not harm us. And You keep every promise forever. Thank You, precious Creator. Help us to keep focusing on You, Lord Jesus Christ and not on the evil all around us. Help us to cling to Thy words, “In this world ye shall have tribulation, but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” Please Bless each soul reading this prayer with renewed faith and hope today and rivers of peace and comfort. Scatter all their fears and anxieties to the four winds and draw them ever closer to Thy heart. In Jesus’ holy name, Amen & amen.
