Life is a River, deep and wide,
Sometimes filled with peace,
Sometimes filled with joyous songs,
Sometimes unfilled needs.
Sometimes its waters overflow
With endless health and strength
That dwindle to a narrow creek
Of weakness and decay.
Sometimes the waters rush into
A gaping waterfall
And suddenly a life can change
To what is there no more.
Ever rolling onward,
Onward to the sea,
With each dawn the River brings
Us to another journey.
And how we all respond
To what the River sends
Is all that really matters
When we come to the River’s end.
May we honor God
With all that the River brings
Wherever the River takes us
Till we reach Eternity.
PRAYER
Heavenly Father, help us to understand that it’s not WHAT we endure in this life that matters, but HOW we choose to endure it. May You give us the grace to honor You in every situation, no matter what may come our way, thank You, Lord, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
Heavenly Father, thank You for the assurance that You are always in control of all things. Thy word says in Psalm 103:19, “The Lord has prepared His throne in the heavens; and His kingdom rules over all,” and in Hebrews 1:3 that You “uphold all things by the word of Your power.”Romans 8:8 assures me that every detail of my life is being orchestrated by You into something grand and beautiful and for my ultimate good because You care very much about each one of us. Psalm 138:8 promises that You will “fulfill Your plans for my life.” So I don’t need to worry about whether or not I am going to accomplish Your will for me. You will get me on the path I need to be on. And all I need to do is Trust You.
Lord, though this is often so hard to do, please help each of us to trust You when we cannot see past the bend in the road, when we cannot fathom Your purposes for us on the path You have chosen for us. Help us to trust You when nothing makes sense. Help us to keep our eyes on You anyway; to know that You are in control and that You cherish each of us beyond what we can imagine.
May the sense of Your abiding presence sustain every person praying this prayer. May they feel You with them as they never have before. May You renew their faith, fill them with new hope, and give them joy.
Thank You, dear Lord, I love You, In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Hebrews 7:25
“Therefore Christ is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.”
Romans 8:34
“Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.”
Thank You, Lord, For Praying…
Thank You, Christ, my Savior,
Though none may know my name,
You are up in Heaven, Lord,
And there for me You pray.
You know all of my needs,
You’re with me everywhere,
You love me more than I could know
And for me deeply care.
And every night and day
You’re praying for my needs,
You know them all, yes every one,
Not one can hide from Thee.
And when I sometimes fall
You come and help me stand;
You don’t condemn, you just forgive
And wash me clean again.
Oh Jesus, this I know,
Though none might for me pray
You are praying for me, Lord,
Yes, every night and day.
And I will thank You, Lord,
For You know all my cares,
And You are ever in control,
Who prays and hears our prayers.
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Psalm 107:10, 12-16, 19-22
“Some of God’s people were prisoners, locked behind bars in dark prisons. …They stumbled and fell, and there was no one to help them. They were in trouble, so they called to the Lord for help, and He saved them from their troubles. He took them out of their dark prisons. He broke the ropes that held them.
Thank the Lord for His faithful love and for the amazing things He does for people. He breaks down their bronze gates. He shatters their iron bars. They were in trouble, so they called to the Lord for help, and He saved them from their troubles.
He gave the command and healed them, so they were saved from the grave.
Thank the Lord for his faithful love and for the amazing things He does for people.
Offer sacrifices of thanks to Him. Sing with joy about all that He has done.”
NEVER GIVE UP
Wherever you are on your journey, whatever challenge you may be facing right now,
be assured that God is with you, though you may not be aware of His Presence.
Know that He who created all the stars and calls them all by name; who knows the
numbers of hairs on your head and bottles all your tears, loves you beyond measure.
If your faith is eclipsed by a trial of suffering right now and it is difficult to feel God’s love
as You have in the past, know that His Spirit is still inside of you, holding you close to His heart. Even as the sun is still shining during a solar eclipse, God’s Spirit is still abiding strong within your heart. He will never leave you in your valley of the shadow.
King David wrote, “The Lord is close to those who have suffered disappointment. He saves those who are discouraged.” (Psalm 34:18 ERV)
Though you may not be able to feel the Lord’s presence in your present circumstances, trust and abide in His word. Stand strong on His promises because, “No word from God shall ever fail.” (Luke 1:37 NIV)
Whatever you do, remember: “Jesus told his disciples…that they should always pray and not give up.”~Luke 18:1
Don’t give up! God has a wonderful future ahead for you. God promises in His word,
“I know the plans that I have for you.” This message is from the Lord. “I have good plans for you. I don’t plan to hurt you. I plan to give you hope and a good future. Then you will call My name. You will come to Me and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. You will search for Me, and when you search for Me with all your heart, you will find Me. I will let you find Me.” This message is from the Lord. “And I will bring you back from your captivity.” ~Jeremiah 29:11-14 ERV
Heavenly Father, thank You for every person reading these words today. May You fill their hearts with rivers of hope. Renew, restore their faith and give them an abiding awareness of Your holy Presence within and around them everywhere they go, at all times. Encourage their hearts and never let them give up, dear Lord, even as You, Lord Jesus, never gave up despite the pain, the shame, and suffering, when You gave Your life for us on the cross. Protect Your dear children from hopelessness and discouragement as You help them to focus their thoughts on Thy word and to abide in Thee at all times. Thank You Lord. I love You. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
