God Hears You

“I wait for the Lord, my soul waits,
and in His word I do hope.
My soul waits for the Lord
more than those who watch for the morning—
Yes, more than those who watch for the morning.
Psalm 130:5-6 (NKJV)

God Hears You

God hears you when you cannot speak,
He hears each whispered cry,
He hears when you in secret weep
He hears each longing sigh.

God hears the silent prayers
That form inside as tears,
He hears the prayers you cannot pray,
God understands and hears.

God is listening to your heart
When you feel all alone,
He’s with you in your darkest hour
A light to lead you home.

God knows every thought you think
Before you say a word,
And though you may not cry to Him
Your voice will still be heard.

For God will hear the silent prayers
Of every broken heart,
He’s close to all who are oppressed,
From them He won’t depart.

Wait upon The Lord, oh wait!
And trust that He is near,
Like watchmen for the morning wait,
Oh trust that God will hear.

Trust that God hears every prayer
And there will come a day
When you will see the answer
To every prayer you prayed.

Wait upon The Lord, oh wait
And trust that He will come,
God is listening to your prayers
And answers every one.

God will hear and answer
According to His will,
His love will give us what is best,
Just wait for God, be still.

It Will All Work Out

It Will All Work Out
© 2014 S.D. Harden

The Lord is on His throne
He knows our every need,
The one who numbers all the stars
Rules over everything.

He hears our every prayer,
He bottles every tear,
He’s close to every broken heart,
He draws them very near.

He says that everything we see,
When all is said and done,
Will all work out for good somehow,
So we must trust His love.

God will make each sorrow,
A blessing we can trace,
In the fabric of our life,
When we see His face.

And we will thank Him for the things,
We now don’t understand;
For everything He gives to us,
Are blessings from His hand.

The Lord is in control,
He knows our every need,
He never will forsake His child,
His love will not deceive.

The Lord is in control,
The Lord is on His throne,
He who numbers all the stars,
Will not forsake His own.

Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for the assurance in Your word that You are in control of all that happens in this world, and that this world is not our final home.
All that we now see is temporary and what we cannot see is eternal. Help us to see with eternal eyes, to know that whatever happens today is not going to really matter to us 100 years from now.
But You and what You think of us and what we did with the gift of our lives on this earth will matter very much to each of us who are reading these words 100 years from now.
Your word says that if we believe Jesus died for our sins, we will live forever with You in eternal paradise.
May you open our eyes to believe Your word, be filled with Your love and live forever with You.
Thank You, Lord, In Jesus’ name, amen.

Christ Prays For You

20140218-003324.jpg
Hebrews 7:25
“Therefore Christ is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.”

Romans 8:34
“Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.”

Thank You, Lord, For Praying…

Thank You, Christ, my Savior,
Though none may know my name,
You are up in Heaven, Lord,
And there for me You pray.
You know all of my needs,
You’re with me everywhere,
You love me more than I could know
And for me deeply care.

And every night and day
You’re praying for my needs,
You know them all, yes every one,
Not one can hide from Thee.
And when I sometimes fall
You come and help me stand;
You don’t condemn, you just forgive
And wash me clean again.

Oh Jesus, this I know,
Though none might for me pray
You are praying for me, Lord,
Yes, every night and day.
And I will thank You, Lord,
For You know all my cares,
And You are ever in control,
Who prays and hears our prayers.
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

The Choice

Mark 10:21-22
Then Jesus, looking at him, loved him, and said to him,
“One thing you lack: Go your way, sell whatever you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, take up thy cross, and follow Me.”
But he was sad at this word, and went away sorrowful, for he had great possessions.

Good Teacher, What Must I Do?
© 2012 Suzanne Davis Harden

“Good Teacher,” said the young man,
“What must I do to be saved?”
And Jesus looked in His eyes
He loved the young man He’d made.

And Jesus looked in His eyes,
Though rich, the man was a slave;
Now seeking the things of God;
Jesus loved the man He had made.

And Jesus looked into His eyes
“And so you seek to be saved…”
Keep the commandments of God—
All of the ones He gave…”
The young man stood up tall
And He looked at the Lord with pride,
“I’ve kept them all from my youth,
Yes, since I was a little child.”

And Jesus peered in His eyes,
Looked deep in His very soul,
“One thing, My son, you lack,
And then you’ll be made whole.”

The man looked up at Jesus,
His eyes a puzzled stare,
“Give all you have to the poor, My son,
Then follow Me everywhere.”
Trade your earthly riches
For those you cannot see…
Let go of all you have, My son,

And come and follow Me.
My son, come follow Me,
And give to Me your life,
And I will meet your every need;
I’ll never leave your side.
Don’t trust in what you see,
Don’t trust in what you have;
Trust in One who gives good things
To those with faith to ask.

My love will carry you
Down every path you take;
I’ll carry you to heaven,
Your heart I won’t forsake.”

The young man looked at Jesus,
Then sadly walked away.
He would not trade His riches
For the Savior’s path of faith.
He would not trade His riches
For the heart of Jesus’ love,
And He walked away from Jesus
Choosing wealth over God above.
