Behold The Lamb- The 33rd Album From Christ

Album Art For Behold The Lamb

It is with the greatest joy that I share with you my latest release of Christian Instrumentals~ appropriately titled โ€œBehold The Lamb.โ€

Why is that an appropriate name for the thirty-third album of musical instrumentals whose tracks and music are focused on various passages in the life of Christ from the Gospel of John?

Jesus Christ, the Son of God, spilled His spotless blood on the cross as an eternal sacrifice to pay for the deliverance from our sins at the age of thirty three.

I could never have known ten years ago when the Lord inspired me to publish my first album that He would give me thirty-three albums of music to glorify His name throughout the earth~or astonishingly, that He would prompt me to call the thirty-third album of music to His children โ€œBehold The Lamb.โ€

The Lord encouraged me several years ago to write an attribution on the cover (or somewhere visible) on all my works that they are accomplished โ€œโ€ฆthrough the Indwelling Risen Lord Jesus Christ, Inspired by the Holy Spirit, to the Glory of God, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.โ€

Why did He do this?

He wanted to remind not only me, but all of His children that Christ said always it was His Father within Him that did His miracles, and that apart from His Father He could do nothing.

Jesus said, โ€œโ€œAbide in Me, and I in you.
As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself,
except it abide in the vine;
no more can ye, except ye abide in Me.โ€

I must remind everyone that my music from the Lord is truly a miracle gift. For I wasnโ€™t a musician until Christ sovereignly dropped His music gift into my lap and asked me to do this work for Him. (*Iโ€™m not a trained musician and can only play or sing the music that the Lord gives me for His children. I truly can do none of my work apart from Christ.)

Jesus Christ said that He was going to dwell within each of His children who would keep His Words, and abide in Him.

Jesus said, โ€œDonโ€™t you believe that I am in the Father,
and the Father in Me? The words that I tell you, I speak not from Myself; but the Father who lives in Me does His works.โ€

When we believe and act by faith on Jesusโ€™ words, He really does show that He is the risen Lord and Savior and manifests Himself to our hearts.

He directs and guides our life;

His Holy Spirit comes to live in our hearts and we become the living temples of the Holy Spirit.

Christ manifests His reality to the world through our faith and obedience to Him.

We honor and worship Him by obeying Him.

Often our obedience to Christ is misunderstood and therefore misinterpreted.

But we cannot worry about what others will think about us, or allow their opinion or even rejection of us deter us from obeying our Lord Jesus Christ.

Christ must be our Head, our supreme Authority, our King and God, or else we have an idol.

Jesus said that no man can have two masters.

โ€œโ€œYou cannot serve two masters at the same time.
You will hate one and love the other, or you will be loyal to one and not care about the other.
You cannot serve God and Money
at the same time.โ€

Each one of these verses is an admonition to remain in the presence of the Lord.

Rejoice alwaysโ€ฆbe joyful how, and why?

We give our praise to God for His wondrous blessings!

What is one of His beautiful blessings? Forgiveness. He forgives all our sins. He suffered and died on the cross to forever cleanse us from the stain of sin.

Others may condemn us for our faults but read what the scriptures say and rejoice in Christ!

โ€œWho shall bring any charge against God’s elect [when it is] God Who justifies [that is, Who puts us in right relation to Himself? Who shall come forward and accuse or impeach those whom God has chosen? Will God, Who acquits us?] Who is there to condemn [us]? We meditate on Christ and the precious gifts we have in Him.

Pray without ceasing..this is abiding in Christโ€™s presence and it takes a choice admittedly and a determination not to abide in the world or conform to it.

Give thanks in all circumstances, and this is really a difficult one, but we can still abide in Christ here even when we vent to Him because Hebrews 4 says:

โ€œSince then we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.โ€

No matter what our issue, if we choose to, we can abide in Christ or His Word would not have said it was His Will for us to do so.

Truly, I know these spiritual practices are challenging and take much perseverance and prayer.

But our Lord loves each of us very much. He redeemed us with His blood, therefore He paid the highest possible price for our souls.

โ€œBut when we live in a right way, it is like living in the light. God is always in the light. So, if we live in the light, we share together in the life which God gives. And when Jesus, the Son of God, died on the cross, He saved us from all our sins. The blood of His sacrifice makes us clean. If we say that we never do any wrong thing, we are deceiving ourselves. Even though we may think it is true, it is a lie. Instead, we should agree that we have done wrong things and tell that to God. Then God will forgive us for our sins. He always does what He has promised to do. He always does what is right. He will forgive us and He will make us clean again, whatever bad things we may have done. God says that all people have done wrong things. So, if we say that we have not done any wrong thing, we are saying that God tells lies. It shows that we have not accepted His message at all.โ€

When we stumble and make mistakes, (and we all do because we are human, not one of us is perfect,) Jesus does not condemn us; when we humbly go to Him and ask, He forgives us and says, โ€œโ€ฆletโ€™s try again.โ€

His Spirit within us is there to help us hear His voice in our hearts and want to obey Him. (*See Romans 8)

Jesus is on our side.
He wants to help us succeed in accomplishing His will.
All we need do is abide in Him and pray,
and keep true to His Word daily.
He will take care of manifesting Himself to our hearts, teaching us His word,
and showing us His will.

Iโ€™m very excited about sharing the Lordโ€™s new album inspired by the Holy Spirit as a tribute to Christโ€™s life and redemptive ministry, and pray that the Lord will speak through His Word to each heart that listens to His songs and encourage them mightily with His love and grace, in Jesusโ€™ name, amen.

Lord, Help Me Endure

โ€œLord Help Me Endure To The Endโ€ is a prayer song inspired by a scripture verse that Jesus spoke to His disciples when He was talking to them about prophetic events of the dark last days.

Jesus said, โ€œBut he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.โ€

Matthew 24:13 KJV

What does the word Jesus used for endure mean?

แฝ‘ฯ€ฮฟฮผฮญฮฝฯ‰ hupomenล~~Thayer Definition:

1) to remain, 1a) to tarry behind, 2) to remain, i.e. abide, not recede or flee,

2a) to persevere under misfortunes and trials to hold fast to oneโ€™s faith in Christ

2b) to endure, bear bravely and calmly: ill treatments

This verse with its word meaning has spoken volumes to me as I have studied and meditated over them.

Iโ€™m so thankful the Lord gave me this prayer song to encourage me to meditate on this verse as I seek Him in prayer and in His Word, especially now.

No stranger to affliction being a sufferer of chronic daily migraines and fibromyalgia, I was painting to distract myself from pain early one morning last month.

Mark reminded me of an appointment I had to get ready for so I got in a rush to print my painting and get ready for the day.

Alas, as I rounded the corner of my bed I tripped and fell backwards landing on my left side and crashed onto the hardwood floor.

Horrified, I saw my left arm detached from my body. In excruciating pain, I thought my hip and neck were broken, as they were hurting as much as my arm and shoulder, also I could not move. Talk about screaming. My beloved Mark was by my side in a second.

I had to be taken to the hospital where they did imaging. Not only did I have bruises all over the left part of my body, but the X-Rays and scans revealed that Iโ€™d severely fractured my left humerus. Thank the Lord I had broken nothing else. I returned home with my left arm in a heavy splint and sling. It was so heavy in fact, I could barely walk. The pain was unbearable. I learned how disabled one is made by such a severe injury.

At first I just felt manacled by that awful splint and was sent into panic mode in certain positions. I was in more pain than Iโ€™d ever been in my life and I begged God to take me to Heaven. He kept saying nope. Not only did I find the pain beyond my endurance, I couldnโ€™t tolerate being so helpless and dependent on others for assistance in EVERYTHING.

The Lord said, โ€œENDURE.โ€

Hadnโ€™t I suffered enough, I asked.

The Lord was not going to let me off the hook.

He reminded me of the prayer song He had given me, โ€œLord Help Me Endure To The End.โ€

He reminded me of the other prayer song with lyrics He had given me on my most recent release Paths of Faith, โ€œI Will Lay Down My Life.โ€

Migraines flared up the agony in my fractured arm even more. The wretched splint caused huge tormenting tension knots in my back and neck. I could not get comfortable nor sleep in my bed but had to sleep in Markโ€™s recliner.

Despite my misery, the Lord showered me with rivers of His measureless mercy. He sent wonderful home healthcare people to assist me. They always ended up telling me about folks who were far worse off than I was and this would somehow comfort me because I not only then felt I was not alone in my pain, it motivated me to pray for people who suffered as I did.

Prayer was the only way I could lay my life down in love for others because of my disability, while others were laying their lives down in love for me. The Lord always sent me people with the most cheerful attitudes. They somehow could make me laugh despite my intense pain.

Our son flew home from LA to help my husband with my care.

Our daughter being tied up with myriad issues in Tucson did many wonderful things for us that we needed assistance with by ordering things we required and had them sent to us.

We were surrounded by love. God showed His mercy and faithfulness in so many ways that helped me to hang on when I thought I could not endure another moment of pain. Many from our church sent beautiful cards and prayers while our friend Sharon came and stayed with me twice so Mark could run some necessary errands.

Our Pastor came over and anointed me with oil and prayed for my healing. All of these beautiful expressions of Godโ€™s love comforted me, reminding me that our Heavenly Father still loved me despite my suffering.

One night after I finally fell asleep exhausted from the pain, I dreamed that the Lord Jesus Christ came down from Heaven and into my living room. He stood by the recliner where I lay sleeping and He checked on my arm as if He were a doctor checking on my progress. I dreamed this two nights in a row. I woke up very comforted both times, assured of His love for me.

But on days when the hours stretched by and my pain level stayed at a ten I became depressed and wept, praying for Godโ€™s mercy and repenting for everything I could think of that might have upset the Lord. For when we go through serial trials we canโ€™t help but look up and ask the Lord, โ€œWhat did I do wrong?โ€

Whenever I ask the Lord questions like that He refers me to His Word. From the Epistle of James: โ€œMy Christian friends, remember to be happy, even when many kinds of trouble happen to you. Troubles can help you. God wants to see if you really trust Him. Your faith in God will become stronger as a result of these troubles. So you should continue to trust God all the time. Then you will become stronger as a Christian. You will become completely how you should be. You will not need anything more.โ€ James 1:2-4 (*Easy English Bible)

The Holy Spirit uses the Word of God to comfort me and assure me that God is using my trials to enlarge my faith.

โ€œWe thank God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, because He is so good to us. As our Father, He is very kind to us. He is our God who comforts us in every way. Whenever we have trouble, He comforts us. Because of that, we ourselves can comfort other people. When they have any kind of trouble, we can comfort them, in the same way that God has comforted us. Christ himself received much pain, and God comforted Him. As Christ’s servants, we also receive the same kind of pain. But, God also comforts us very much, because we belong to Christ.โ€ 2 Corinthians 1:3-5 *(Easy English Bible)

Peter the Apostle wrote that we should expect to have suffering and trials as Christians.

โ€œBeloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: but rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when His glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.โ€ 1 Peter 4:12-13 KJV

Peter asserted that suffering and pain motivate the Christian to do Godโ€™s will instead of their own will, even as Christ did His Fatherโ€™s will on earth.

โ€œChrist had trouble and pain while He lived in His human body. So you should prepare yourselves to have trouble and pain too. Think about it in the same way that Christ did. If someone has trouble and pain in his body, he stops doing wrong things. As a result, that person will want to do what God wants him to do. In his life in this world, he will not want to do the bad things that people think are good.โ€ 1 Peter 4:1-2 (*Easy English Bible)

โ€œThat is why we never give up.

Though our bodies are dying, our spirits are being renewed every day. For our present troubles are small and wonโ€™t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever!

So we donโ€™t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen.

For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever.โ€ ~ 2 Corinthians 4:16-18 NLT (*New Living Translation)

Valuing The Human

An innocent little six year old was mercilessly gunned down by someone in a fit of road rage recently.

I wondered how was this possible?

The Lord led me to the story of Cain and Abel in the book of Genesis.

Cain and Abel were two brothers, the children of Eve, โ€œthe mother of all the living.โ€

When her first son was born, Eve called him โ€œCain,โ€ a name related to a word for โ€œlamentโ€ or โ€œwail.โ€ Eve said, โ€œI have gotten a man from the Lordโ€ฆโ€

โ€œโ€ฆmanโ€ meaning:

ืื™ืฉื ‘ฤฑฬ‚ysh

BDB Definition: 11b) husband, 1c) human being, person (in contrast to God), 1f) champion, 1g) great man

The Bible says of Cain that he โ€œโ€ฆwas a tiller of the ground.โ€

The word for tiller means: H5647 (Strong)

ืขึธื‘ึทื“

โ€›รขbad, aw-bad’, A primitive root; to work (in any sense); by implication to serve, till, (causatively) enslave, etc.: be, keep in bondage, be bondmen, bond-service, compel, husbandman, keep, labour (-ing man), (be, become) servant (-s), transgress [from margin], (set a) work, be wrought, worshipper.Serve self

Where Eve seemed so filled with hope after Cainโ€™s birth giving him a name that meant โ€œChampion,โ€ she seemed to have lost her faith sometime after his birth.

For she named her second son Abel which means:

ื”ื‘ืœ hรขbal

BDB Definition: 1) to act emptily, become vain, be vain; 1a2) to be utterly vain;1b1) to cause to become vain; 1b2) to fill with vain hopes;

People who have lost their dream call faith โ€œvain hope.โ€

Also, branding a child with such a name is akin to calling them hopeless, futile, or vanity.

It would not be any wonder then that Abel would find refuge out in the fields with his Father God while tending the sheep rather than with a family who considered him โ€œโ€ฆ filled with vain hopes.โ€

Abel was given the name of someone whom his parents saw as having no expectations.

And this was surely to open the door for his brother to also adopt the same attitudes toward him as someone who was worthless.

It might not be difficult for a man to murder a brother whom he neither loved nor valued. For Cain had no love for his brother the Bible says.

โ€œThis is the teaching you have heard from the beginning: We must love each other. Donโ€™t be like Cain. He belonged to the Evil One. Cain killed his brother. But why did he kill him? Because what Cain did was evil, and what his brother did was good.โ€ 1 John 3:11-12 – ERV

โ€œCain and Abel both offered sacrifices to God. But Abel offered a better sacrifice to God because he had faith. God said he was pleased with what Abel offered. And so God called him a good man because he had faith. Abel died, but through his faith he is still speaking.โ€ ~ Hebrews 11:4 – ERV

After Cain had killed his brother, the Lord asked him where Abel was. Cain sarcastically replied, โ€œI donโ€™t know, am I my brotherโ€™s keeper?โ€

Keeper means:

ืฉืืžืจ shรขmar

BDB Definition: 1) to keep, guard, observe, give heed/ 2) 1a1) to keep, have charge of/ 3) 1a2) to keep, guard, keep watch and ward, protect, save life/ 1a3) to watch for, wait for/ 1a4) to watch, observe/ 1a5) to keep, retain, treasure up (in memory)/1a6) to keep (within bounds), restrain/ 1a7) to observe, celebrate, keep (sabbath or covenant or commands), perform (vow)/ 1a8) to keep, preserve, protect/ 1b1) to be on oneโ€™s guard, take heed, take care, beware/ 1b2) to keep oneself, refrain,/ abstain/ 1b3) to be kept, be guarded

God revealed through the Lord Jesus Christ that we are indeed to be our brotherโ€™s keeper. We are to love and to lay our lives down for one another.

Abel was asked to sacrifice His will to God even as Christ would one day be asked to sacrifice His will to the Father that all might in Him be given eternal life through His sacrificial death.

Abel gave God what He asked of him. This pleased the Lord greatly.

For Abel like Christ in effect had said, โ€œFather I want Thy will not my will…โ€

How did Abel know what Godโ€™s will was?

He spent all his time with the Lord every day in a close relationship with Him.

While working in the fields he was abiding in His Maker. He listened to God speak to his heart.

God wanted something that was difficult for Abel to give Him. Something that Abel loved, prized, and valued very much. The finest of his flocks.

Yet, what else was worth having if he kept it back from God and lost his intimacy with the Lord by withholding that thing which God had asked him to sacrifice?

What could be more important than his relationship with the Lord, his Creator?

Abel knew what God required of him, he knew and cared to do Godโ€™s will.

The Bible says that the ungodly donโ€™t care to know about or to do Godโ€™s will. They just want to please themselves.

โ€˜โ€œAt harvest time, Cain brought a gift to the Lord. He brought some of the food that he grew from the ground, but Abel brought some animals from his flock. He chose some of his best sheep and brought the best parts from them. The Lord accepted Abel and his gift. But He did not accept Cain and his offering. Cain was sad because of this and he became very angry.โ€ ~ Genesis 4:3-5 ERV

Cain offered to God the sacrifice of man; the sacrifice that insists on doing its own will and pleasure. Such a sacrifice may take a lot of time and effort to accomplish, and appear beautiful but it will not satisfy our Creator if it is not what He asked for.

Godโ€™s will is that we obey Him no matter what that obedience looks like, no matter how displeasing to us it seems. The Lord needs to know that His will matters to us more than our own our own will.

He created us to worship HIM. We were not created to please and worship ourselves.

Abel obeyed the Lord and offered the blood sacrifice He required. Cain did not.

Hebrews 9 explains that under the Law that without the shedding of blood there was no forgiveness of sins. A blood sacrifice was required for the atonement of the sins people had committed. That was just how it was. We may not like it or understand it. But that was why Jesus Christ, Godโ€™s Son had to die to shed His spotless blood for the sins of all humanity to redeem us and put a fallen world back in right relationship with God. This is the truth. Cain refused to believe this truth of the need for the blood sacrifice to atone for his sins to be made right with God. He would do his own work and labor to please and satisfy God. Yet, God only wanted the sacrifice of an innocent pure lamb to atone for the manโ€™s sins. He need only go to his brother and procure a sheep to sacrifice to the Lord. It was that easy. Cain made things hard in his unbelief.

Cain was furious when he saw that God was pleased with Abelโ€™s sacrifice and not with his own.

The Lord asked Cain, โ€œWhy are you angry? Why does your face look sad? You know that if you do what is right, I will accept you. But if you donโ€™t, sin is ready to attack you. That sin will want to control you, but you must control it.โ€~ Genesis 4:6-7 – ERV

God up and told Cain His will and the man simply ignored the holy revelation! It went right over Cainโ€™s head because he had no regard for the Lord any more than he valued his brotherโ€™s life.

If he had loved and feared the Lord then he would have obeyed Him. Christ equated love for our Lord with our obedience to Him.

Jesus said to His disciples: โ€œIf you love Me, you will do what I command.

Those who really love Me are the ones who not only know My commands but also obey them. My Father will love such people, and I will love them. I will make Myself known to them.โ€

…All who love Me will obey My teaching. My Father will love them. My Father and I will come to them and live with them.

But anyone who does not love Me does not obey My teaching. This teaching that you hear is not really Mine. It is from my Father who sent Me.โ€ ~ John 14:15,21,23-24 – ERV

The rest of the story is a very sad one.

Cain said to his brother Abel, โ€œLetโ€™s go out to the field.โ€ So they went to the field. Then Cain attacked his brother Abel and killed him. Later, the Lord said to Cain, โ€œWhere is your brother Abel?โ€

Cain answered, โ€œI donโ€™t know. Is it my job to watch over my brother?โ€

Then the Lord said, โ€œWhat have you done? You killed your brother and the ground opened up to take his blood from your hands. Now his blood is shouting to Me from the ground. So you will be cursed from this ground. Now when you work the soil, the ground will not help your plants grow. You will not have a home in this land. You will wander from place to place.โ€~Genesis 4:8-10,12 – ERV

The price Cain paid for his sin was enormous. Cainโ€™s former gift of being able to till the soil successfully became a curse as God said, โ€œNow when you work the soil, the ground will not help your plants grow.

Whereas Cain had been the familyโ€™s hope for success and prosperity, โ€œtheir champion,โ€ he now became the disappointment, the one who was truly filled with โ€œvain hopes;โ€one who could no longer produce. The Lord not only took away all former expectations of success, but also drove him away, branding him with the indelible mark of a murderer, condemning him to the life of a wanderer. (*See Genesis 4:13-16)

Have we ever stopped to think of what we give up when we ignore the Lordโ€™s voice, giving in to our stubbornness, anger, own desires, and lack of faith over simply obeying the Lordโ€™s will?

First we must like Abel abide in Christ to love God and to know His will.

Second we must care to obey His will once He reveals that will to us.

If we donโ€™t love others, we wonโ€™t love, honor and value our God. When we do not love and value others we disobey Godโ€™s will.

Christ said, โ€œA new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are My disciples, if ye have love one to another.โ€ John 13:34-35 – KJV

Jesus once told a religious ruler that the two greatest commandments upon which hung the whole Law were the first two: Jesus said unto him, โ€œThou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment.

And the second is like unto it, โ€œThou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.โ€ ~ Matthew 22:37-40 – KJV

The Apostle John wrote, โ€œIf a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? And this commandment have we from Him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.โ€ 1 John 4:20-21 – KJV

In the parable of the Good Samaritan Jesus let us know that in Godโ€™s eyes, everyone is our brother and sister. Not just people in our religious affiliations, our fellowships and social cliques. The Lord does not see as we see according to the teaching Christ gave us in that parable.

As I contemplated the enraged man whoโ€™d gunned down the innocent child on the freeway, I couldnโ€™t help but wonder if he, like Cain, had lost his love and value for human life made in Godโ€™s holy image ~that life of which God says we are to be his keeper, his guardian, and to keep ourselves from harming.

Would that people knew Godโ€™s will and would do it!

Then I thought are we not too like that furious man when we explode like a seething time bomb with bitter words; words like lethal verbal weapons, over everything under the sun, ever finding fault, seeking to destroy with bitter criticism, accusation, and judgment, ever so quick to assume false conclusions without having all the facts? The internet and social media are daily inundated with these incidents of โ€œvirtual road rage.โ€

And if we regard not the life of our neighbor, resisting Godโ€™s will to be our brotherโ€™s and sisterโ€™s keeper, we absolutely do not love, fear, nor honor God our Heavenly Father, the Bible declares. (*See 1 John 4:20-21)

Jesus said, โ€œโ€ฆthe bad things people say with their mouth come from the way they think. And thatโ€™s what can make people wrong. All these bad things begin in the mind: evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual sins, stealing, lying, and insulting people. These are the things that make people wrong.โ€ Matthew 15:18-20 – ERV

โ€œHeavenly Father, may You give us Thy divine love for one another, that we may also love and honor Thee, in Jesusโ€™ name, amen.

A Christmas Eve Prayer

A Christmas Eve Prayer

Lord, please heal my loved one
Walking now with Thee
On a narrow, thorny path
Dark and shadowyโ€ฆ

Lord, please heal my loved one
Hold, I pray her hand,
Fill her mind with peace
Give her strength to stand
In faith upon Thy promises
Renew her hope in Thee,
May she feel Thy Presence,
Around her like a seal.

Sing to her, Lord, in her heart
Like angels long ago
Sang to the shepherds in the fields
About the Christ foretoldโ€ฆ
Sing to her like the angels
About Thy holy peace
That You, Lord Jesus were and are
And ever to us bringโ€ฆ
When we let you in our hearts
To cleanse and heal our sin
Lord, heal us all this holy night
Hearts blind and deaf within.

And may we sing Thy praises
For Thy great mercy
For Thy everlasting love
And life eternally.
Lord, please heal us all
And heal my loved one too,
Whose lamp lies in the shadows
Whoโ€™s love burns strong for You.

Lord, please heal my loved one,
This Christmas may You raise
Her up as if itโ€™s Easter
Thy resurrection grace,
Our song of hope and faith,
In Jesusโ€™ holy name, amen.

Heavenly Father, please heal Mama, in Jesusโ€™ name, amen. Thank You, I love You.

The First Christmas

And it came to pass in those days,
that there went out a decree
from Caesar Augustus,
that all the world should be taxed.
(And this taxing was first made
when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.)

And all went to be taxed,
every one into his own city.
And Joseph also went up from Galilee,
out of the city of Nazareth,
into Judea, unto the city of David,
which is called Bethlehem;
(because he was of the house
and lineage of David:)
To be taxed with Mary
his espoused wife,
being great with child.

And so it was,
that, while they were there,
the days were accomplished
that she should be delivered.
And she brought forth her firstborn son,
and wrapped him in swaddling clothes,
and laid him in a manger;
because there was no room
for them in the inn.โ€
Luke 2:1-7 KJV

And there were in the same country
shepherds abiding in the field,
keeping watch over their flock by night.
And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them,
and the glory of the Lord shone round about them:
and they were sore afraid.

And the angel said unto them,
โ€œFear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy,
which shall be to all people.
For unto you is born this day
in the city of David a Saviour,
which is Christ the Lord.
And this shall be a sign unto you;
Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes,
lying in a manger.โ€

And suddenly there was with the angel
a multitude of the heavenly host
praising God, and saying,
โ€œGlory to God in the highest,
and on earth peace, good will toward men.โ€

And it came to pass,
as the angels were gone away from them
into heaven,
the shepherds said one to another,
โ€œLet us now go even unto Bethlehem,
and see this thing which is come to pass,
which the Lord hath made known unto us.โ€

And they came with haste,
and found Mary, and Joseph,
and the babe lying in a manger.

And when they had seen it,
they made known abroad
the saying which was told them
concerning this child.

And all they that heard it
wondered at those things
which were told them by the shepherds.

But Mary kept all these things,
and pondered them in her heart.

And the shepherds returned,
glorifying and praising God
for all the things that they had heard and seen,
as it was told unto them.โ€
Luke 2:8-20 KJV

Jesus is Circumcised

And when eight days
were accomplished
for the circumcising of the child,
his name was called JESUS,
which was so named of the angel
before he was conceived in the womb.

And when the days of her purification
according to the law of Moses
were accomplished,
they brought him to Jerusalem,
to present him to the Lord;
(As it is written in the law of the Lord,
Every male that openeth the womb
shall be called holy to the Lord;)
And to offer a sacrifice according
to that which is said in the law of the Lord,
A pair of turtledoves,
or two young pigeons.

And, behold,
there was a man in Jerusalem,
whose name was Simeon;
and the same man
was just and devout,
waiting for
the consolation of Israel:
and the Holy Ghost
was upon him.

And it was revealed
unto him
by the Holy Ghost,
that he should not see death,
before he had seen
the Lord’s Christ.

And he came by the Spirit
into the temple:
and when the parents
brought in the child Jesus,
to do for him after
the custom of the law,

Then took he
him up in his arms,
and blessed God,
and said,

โ€œLord, now lettest thou Thy servant
depart in peace,
according to Thy word:

For mine eyes
have seen Thy salvation,
Which Thou hast prepared
before the face of all people;
A light to lighten the Gentiles,
and the glory of Thy people Israel.โ€

And Joseph and
his mother marvelled
at those things
which were spoken of him.

And Simeon blessed them,
and said unto
Mary his mother,
โ€œBehold, this child
is set for the fall
and rising again
of many in Israel;
and for a sign

which shall be
spoken against;

(Yea, a sword shall pierce through
thy own soul also,)
that the thoughts of
many hearts may be revealed.โ€

And there was one
Anna, a prophetess,
the daughter of Phanuel,
of the tribe of Aser:
she was of a great age,
and had lived with an husband
seven years from her virginity;

And she was a widow of about
fourscore and four years,
which departed not from the temple,
but served God with
fastings and prayers
night and day.

And she coming
in that instant
gave thanks
likewise unto the Lord,
and spake of him to all them
that looked for
redemption in Jerusalem.

And when they had performed
all things according to
the law of the Lord,
they returned into Galilee,
to their own city Nazareth.

And the child grew,
and waxed strong in spirit,
filled with wisdom:
and the grace of God was upon him.โ€
Luke 2:21-40 KJV
